Tim Linden’s Blog Contest & Learn From The Kids

Tim Linden a member; currently the one and only member of blogweb.ws (that will not be the case for long, so get in while you can) decided to start a contest in order to generate buzz and gain some publicity for blog.  At first I was not going to enter, because I was having so much trouble navigating through the old posts, because his site is set up topically.  So I decided what the heck, he is giving away a Flip Mino; I will try and squeak just before the deadline. Since it said that the deadline is October 8th and today is October 8th I should have till midnight, due to the fact that he did not specific a time. We will see though. The decision was not easy because I really wanted to pick a good post; not just a good recent one, and not necessarily an old one.Rather, I wanted to pick Tim’s all time best post, and since Tim has hundreds if not thousands of post this was not easy to narrow down, but I finally settled on
http://www.timlinden.com/blog/general/learn-from-the-kids/.

This post by Tim really details an act of kindness that was done by a child without hesitation. While it may not seem like a big deal; for a child that does not earn much money it would probably be a rather big deal! The second part discuses how the children were really seeking to applying good habits of scripture memorization they had been taught by their parents, and were even teaching other children to apply these habits. This is big, because I have witness many college students simply learn material that they think will be on a test.If the children are learning the most important things so firmly, such as the Bible, with a truly long term perspective this can only help them with their future studies of the less important things such as many of the tests they will enviably face in college.
